In 1945, the British government held court-martial trials of three Indian Army officers, Colonel Prem Sehgal, Colonel Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon, and Major General Shah Nawaz Khan.

They were charged with treason against the king because they’d joined up with Subhash Chandra Bose’s Azad Hind force. The trials, famously known as Red Fort Trials, gained widespread public attention.

Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Raag Desh follows the trial and its aftermath.

The movie stars Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, and Mohit Marwah as the three officials of the Indian Army. This morning, the trailer of Raag Desh was launched in the parliament, a first in the history of the Indian film industry.

From the vibe of the video, it’s evident that Raag Desh is going to be an intensely patriotic film.
